Late spring/early summer is one of our favorite times of the year, bringing with it a welcome relief of color after months of New England winter browns and grays. Right now irises are everywhere, in every imaginable color and in sizes ranging from the huge, lush bearded irises to the smaller, elegant Japanese varieties.
Not surprisingly, irises have inspired many of the artists whose designs appear on outdoor decorative products including flags, magnetic mailbox covers, magnetic yard art and door mats. Gail Flores is one of those artists. Her iris painting for Magnet Works is one of the most popular designs among our flag, mailbox cover and yard art collections.

Gail Flores
Constantly inspired by her garden, Gail paints directly from life. Her loose, vibrant watercolor flowers are well known among collectors and reflect a lifetime of work as one of the premier floral painters in the greeting card industry. “I find flowers are the most challenging subjects to capture, since nature’s version is so perfect to begin with.”
Enjoy!
Wendy
